Guest List Bridal showers are usually more intimate than the wedding, so invite close friends and relatives. Generally, wedding showers are exclusively for women. These days, some couples are deciding to have co-ed parties to include male friends and family. With co-ed parties don't forget to include dates and partners in the final head count. Cocktail and dinner parties are good selections. It is a good idea to finalize the guest list with the bride and perhaps her mother, sister or aunt. Make sure that the groom and his parents have had an opportunity to include the people important to them. You don't want to leave anyone out! If this an office shower or a club sponsored shower, the guest list should naturally fall into place. Average showers are between a dozen to three dozen guests. Surprise parties are generally NOT recommended because the bride may be very busy around this time. Make the shower and it's planning a relaxed experience. Take the time to prepare the details that need not to trouble her with. Even if you, as the planner, can only begin guest list, this will be of great help.
