Bridal Shower Budget Each person has to plan a shower within their budget. If more than one person is hosting the shower, the budget will naturally be larger and can be divided between hostesses. If you are confined to a small budget, remember, your guests are coming to honor the bride to be, not to be entertained. Streamers and balloons are an inexpensive way to decorate. Finger sandwiches and coffee are appropriate or provide a platter of vegetables, cold meat and cheeses, with various breads or rolls.. Don't feel obligated to serve a complete meal. Some of the best conversations are found around platters of finger foods. Be creative with what you have available. Fill a basket with garden flowers, add ribbons to house plants, inexpensive place mats with a border of lace glued to them, purchase or make a sheet cake and place a photograph of the bride on the top or purchase an inexpensive bride and groom cake top. You might try these excellent do-it-yourself decorations, complete with assembly plans and materials. Always keep in mind that you are hosting the shower for the bride and providing the opportunity for her to visit with friends and relatives.
